FIELD NOTES

TWELVE CARDS.
ONE RESPONSIBLE ROUND.

Every module is a preparation or reflection aid. It does not replace qualified coaching, venue procedures, safeguarding, or medical advice.

01

Bellboard

Name a non-competitive focus, available support, the pause area, finish, and travel-home plan before the room becomes busy.

02

Space Scan

Walk entrances, exits, footpaths, floor, ropes, anchors, and zone separation. Set uncertainty aside for a responsible venue lead.

03

Gear Scan

Notice condition, ownership, cleanliness, closures, and anything that needs a coach or supplier to inspect. The card never certifies fit.

04

Whānau Agreement

Put voluntary participation, respectful language, adult supervision, separate photo consent, and an immediate stop response in shared view.

05

Session Rhythm

Orient, practise, reset, and close. This rhythm supports readable transitions without prescribing drills, sparring, intensity, hydration, or recovery.

06

Corner Signals

Use Pause, Check, Change, Out, and Adult as short cues that create space for an actual response.

07

ACC 3Rs

Remember Recognise, Remove, Refer when concussion is suspected. Stop participation, involve the responsible adult, and follow current professional guidance.

08

Speak-Up Cards

Show a preset boundary, access request, or support request without creating a profile, private story, report, or remote message.

09

Respect Code

Ask before contact, use people's chosen language, offer alternatives, and challenge bullying, hazing, harassment, and retaliation.

10

Travel Corner

Keep adult responsibility through handover and account for people, belongings, changes, and venue closure without storing a route or address.

11

Reflection Ledger

Notice whether the room was understandable and interruptible. It records no attendance, performance, weight, injury, or case note.

12

Source Cabinet

See which public references informed identity, safety, safeguarding, and privacy context, with clear limits on what each source proves.
